The Transportation museum’s main role is to preserve and show various means of transportation and present interesting facts on the subject. It was established by Ingólfur Kristjánsson and Kristbjörg Jónsdóttir in 1998, the oldest of its kind in Iceland. Ingólfur had amassed and collected spare parts, machinery, and cars of all kinds for half a century. The Transportation Museum is the result of his efforts and dedication.
