Geothermal Energy Exhibition

The Geothermal Energy Exhibition at the Hellisheiði Power Plant.

The Hellisheiði Power Plant is the largest single-site geothermal power plant in the world, and it has tremendous potential to be expanded in the future. The power plant has a beautiful visitor’s centre that hosts an interactive and informative geothermal energy exhibition. Experienced tour guides are available to provide further information about the history, technology, and use of geothermal energy in Iceland.

The exhibition displays a collection of rare rocks and minerals owned by Dr. Einar Gunnlaugsson. It also features an interactive presentation explaining the geothermal energy production process, as well as a short film about the origins of geothermal energy. There’s a cosy coffee shop that serves delicious coffee and light snacks. Perfect for your own energy needs!

We look forward to seeing you!
